Jodhpur, the capital of Marwar Kingdom for many centuries, is called the Sun City and Jaisalmer, famous for sand dunes, is known as the Desert City. In between these two historic cities, in the interiors of the Thar desert we have created a solar oasis called as Rajasthan Solar Processing Zone (Raj SPZ).
Raj SPZ is spread over 1513 bighas (~ 605 acres) of land in Sujasar and Galar Villages, near Ramdevra, Tehsil Pokhran, District Jaisalmer. The latitude and longitude of the site location is 27.06N 71.97E.
Raj SPZ is the first privately owned solar park in Rajasthan, India and when fully commissioned will have a capacity of 100MW powering 2,00,000 homes in the most remote part of India. Raj SPZ is expected to bring in a net investment of INR 9 billion by 2015 from various individual power producers (IPPs) and private investors interested in Solar.
Raj SPZ was conceived to overcome the bottlenecks being faced by IPPs in implementing solar projects. Raj SPZ solar park, offers its clients developed land (converted for industrial use) in a high irradiation zone, common HV evacuation ensuring lower transmission losses, lower overall capital and operational costs in the balance of systems and one stop plug and play infrastructure. We also offers turnkey solutions (i.e. concept to commissioning) in collaboration with its preferred EPC partners.
